An interview with Grace

  • Helping others has always been really important to me. That, combined with my passion for mental health, I figured out early on that a therapist role would be a good fit. In high school I had a few close friends struggle with their mental health and supporting them through that cemented for me that this is what I wanted to do. I began engaging with and creating mental health initiatives within my communities and dedicated myself to the study of psychology. I can not imagine a better job and I am so honoured that I get to spend my life helping guide others through their healing process.

  • An attainable goal is not a significant goal. When I was told this phrase, it really made me stop and think. We often get so caught up in wanting to feel like we’ve done big things that we often discount the small steps it takes to get there. This reminded me to break it down and place more value on the small easy goals that build up to get you to where you want to be.

  • ”All the effort in the world won’t matter if you’re not inspired.” -Chuck Palahniuk
I think it is so important to love what you do and truly believe that people thrive when they are living a life that is aligned with whatever inspires them.

  • I am a total animal lover. I have two cats (Delilah, and Finnegan (aka “Fig”)) an axolotl (Squiggles), and hope to one day add a dog to our family once we have a yard! I love when my clients’ furry friends make an appearance in our sessions and will always be happy to look at pictures of your fur babies at the end of session!
