She/her pronouns

Nav provides culturally-sensitive and responsive care, pulling from her six years of experience in the mental health field and her background in crisis response. She celebrates and integrates individual differences with each client. As a South Asian woman and a mother, she loves working with other people of colour, newcomers to Canada, and women at all stages of their perinatal journey.

Nav takes pride in creating a space where all parts of you are seen, and cared for. She helps you get to the root of the problem through an eclectic and person-centered approach rooted in attachment theory. Nav builds her work and personal life around kindness, patience, and laughter, and she hopes for you to feel safe, heard and empowered through your time together.

An interview with Nav

  • I always knew I wanted to work in mental health for as long as I can remember, but it took some time for me to figure out what role in this field was right for me. After working with individuals with brain injuries and in a crisis role, I was left feeling like I could have done more. I realized I wanted to work in a deeper, more meaningful capacity with clients which brought me to this role.

  • “Chores are a kindness to your future self.” While this specific advice is for chores, I think this advice is so versatile and adaptive as it doesn’t have to be chores, it could be any self-imposed obligation and it makes you consider; who needs more kindness at the moment, current you or future you?

  • “If softness was weakness, the flowers would never grow.” - Amna Dhanani.
    Nurture your softness.

  • I can fully recite the dialogue from Brooklyn-99. I will also never stop talking if someone brings up dogs, gardening and books.
